Twitter is Analyzing a home-screen button to Assist its 326 million users switch the order of the tweets they View, the social Media announced on Thursday.
The micro-blogging platform stated a few of all iOS users will probably see a button on the home screen that lets them switch between a display of tweets.
“Sometimes you want to see the latest Tweets, first. We are analyzing a way for you to make it easier to change your deadline involving the most recent and top Tweets.
“Beginning Thursday, a small number of you will observe this test on iOS,” tweeted the provider.
The feature is now available on the iOS but will come to Android too.
Giving its more than million consumers control, Twitter in September declared that it would completely revert their deadline into a pure reverse chosen feed.
The micro-blogging platform in 2016 announced that it will only show”most important tweets” and prevent the most recent tweets first which irked many users.
It declared in the coming weeks, it will start testing a”way to switch between a deadline of tweets which are most relevant for you as well as also a timeline of the latest tweets”.
“We’ve learned that when showing the best Tweets initially, people find Twitter more relevant and useful. However, we’ve heard feedback from people who, occasionally, prefer to find the latest tweets,” said Twitter.
“Our goal with the deadline will be to balance showing you the latest tweets using the best tweets you’re likely to care about, but we don’t always get this balance right,” it added.
Twitter has also confirmed it was considering eliminating the heart-shaped’Like’ button after its CEO Jack Dorsey admitted that he was not a fan and could be getting rid of it”shortly”.
